Over the weekend I was reading about homesteading hacks, and I came across two articles with a TON of awesome ideas. They’re both from the same site. The first one is specifically about homesteading, and second is about off the grid living.
Some of my favorite ideas from the homestead hacks article include: build a chicken watering station from soda bottles, make your own goat ear tags, keep your bees in mason jars, make your own dog shampoo, make your eggs last longer by freezing them, organize your refrigerator with boxes, make outdoor furniture last longer, and get rid of flies naturally. There are well over 100 great ideas here so check it out.
The other off the grid hacks article also has some great ideas including: remove skunks in 3 simple steps, grow potatoes vertically to save space, use rocks to make a knife, prevent your milk cow from kicking you, use black plastic sheeting to warm up soil for planting, use water gallons to make DIY watering cans, use crisco as an improvised candle, and make rain ponchos from garbage bags. There are nearly 50 great ideas in this one. Link below.
