There is some debate about whether moles are a problem for gardeners. Some people argue that moles will aerate your soil, eat grubs and pests, and give you free fertilizer. On the other hand, they can dig up freshly planted seed beds, uproot brand new plants, and generally make a mess of everything.

The easiest solution is to trick them. Moles aren't very smart, and they absolutely love earthworms. All you have to do is feed them some fake, poisonous earthworms. They won't know the difference, and within 24 hours they'll be dead. Harsh? Maybe. But moles can make it impossible for you to get your new garden plants thriving.
